A small
selection of superb coins from the Killingholme Treasure (left photo).
This hoard of 3,700 coins of Constantine I (Constantine the Great) and his sons feature a variety of reverse designs. The hoard
was discovered at Killingholme (North Humberside) in 1993. A small group
of equally superb coins from the Bourton-on-the-Water Hoard found c1970 in
Gloucestershire (right photo). Also of Constantine I and sons, these coins
all feature the sun god (Sol) on the reverse, the last pagan god to appear on
roman coins.
The coins we are offering, from both hoards, are all from
the London Mint.

A quantity of small (around 17mm) bronze coins of
Constantine I and his sons from the Grassmoor Hoard found in
2001
in the East Midlands. Mostly from the mints of Arles and Trier, they feature a
variety of reverse designs.
